  Five years ago

  “I NEED YOU TO BE absolutely sure, baby,” Hunter Kogan insisted, staring intently at the woman before him. She was so beautiful, so sweet. And too damn innocent for the likes of him.

  Hunter kissed her back, jerking her closer, thrusting his hands in her hair as he held her tightly. He swallowed her brittle cry at the same time he loosened his grip. He didn’t want to hurt her, but she drove him past the point of control. No one had ever stripped him so completely of his good sense and his restraint. No one but Dani.

  Josh moved and once again Dani’s attention shifted to him.
